Searching for accommodation on the internet for your next holiday is a great way to get the best deal. Here are some tips to find the perfect Barcelona apartment rental for your next visit to the city.

Try to find the original apartment rental listing website

Sites like trip advisor and expedia certainly have a lot of apartments, but the prices are usually marked up.  Search for the website of the agency that actually manages the apartment, you are likely to get a slightly better price, and you will most likely be able to book online, and get faster replies to any enquiries.

Check the apartment is in the area of Barcelona you want

Most people on holiday in Barcelona want to stay in the center, so look for apartments in the Raval, Gothic quater and the Borne.  There are many apartments that are a 20 minute metro ride from the center, so make sure you choose your apartments in one of these central areas.

Check the terms and conditions

Sometimes the unexpected happens, you should check the terms and conditions to see what happens if you want to change your booking or cancel.  Most reputable agencies will be able to accommodate reasonable requests, but all have a minimum time interval before arriving when you can cancel without penalty.  This is commonly about 5 weeks prior to arrival.

Make any special requests well in advance
